I just noticed the following at the PatchMyPC page: I normally use it for a quick scan of a non-SpiceWorks machines to see what needs updating. PatchMyPc Opens a new window can do the same, but its updater downloads and installs EVERYTHING, you can't pick and choose. You need to be aware that it reports newer versions for a LOT of OEM software as (for example) your 2-year-old HP printer may ship with older versions of HP printer software, while newer printers have newer versions with the same name SUMo doesn't know that your HP software can't be updated. Get the non-RK or the ZIP version, the default installer includes Relevant Knowledge Opens a new window! I run the ZIP version off my IT Toolkit USB stick. SUMo Opens a new window can scan computers for updates needed. It includes Java, Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader, LibreOffice, Skype, etc. I wrote a Spiceworks report call Out of Date Software which can tell you what's missing on your SpiceWorks inventoried computers, but it only checks a limited set of the most popular software and doesn't report on missing MS Updates at all.
